According to a probable cause statement, between the dates of Oct. 31, 2009 and April 15 of this year, Dustin J. (Dusty) Berry, 26, of Leonard possessed a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. The probable cause statement said that the vehicle identification number (VIN) “had been removed or altered in such a fashion it misrepresented the vehicle to which it was attached.” Barry allegedly possessed the vehicle while living in Leonard.

According to Shelby County Prosecuting Attorney Jim McConnell, the truck was sold by Berry recently to a person in Wisconsin.
