The council also listened as Economic Developer Robert Harrington went over the results of the County Wide Economic Development survey that given taken earlier this spring, during Tuesday night’s regular council meeting. Glover Talks Truck Stop Joe Glover has been very energetic about the possibilities of Shelbina getting a truck stop, with the emergence of the four-lane highway. Glover said he is putting a packet together with pictures of potential locations, and letters from O’Laughlin Inc. and the Shelbina Chamber Commerce in support of the idea. Glover explained that O’Laughlin Inc. is looking at getting out of self fueling because of government regulations. “They are going to have to start buying their fuel somewhere else, and they would like to buy it here,” said Glover.
