Dennis Klusmeyer is back in as Shelbina’s City Administrator after the council passed a motion to re-hire him during the closed session of the April 28 council meeting. His first official day of work will be Monday, May 18. Klusmeyer, who submitted his resignation on March 11, 2008 after 12 years on the job, said at the time that he had “hit the wall” and was “burned out.” “We thought about it a lot. | Fellowship Hall to be a Wonderful Addition for the Shelbina United Methodist Church
| Members of Shelbina’s United Methodist Church attended an official ground breaking ceremony Monday evening for the new fellowship hall that is being built on the North Side of East Spruce Street in Shelbina.
“This will be kind of a multifaceted building, it will be used for a lot of purposes,” United Methodist Church Rev. Thad Carter said, when asked about the new fellowship hall that is being built on East Spruce Street in Shelbina. The project, which is hoped to be completed sometime toward the end of the year, is coming along very well, according to Carter. Schwada Builders of Shelbina is the contractor on the facility. “This is something that has been in the talking and planning stages long before I came here. It’s been at least a couple of years that this has been talked about,” Carter said. For the full story, see this week’s issue of the Shelbina Weekly.
